Since weeks everything is covered by white snow. The winter this year started very early back in November. It was snowing a lot, although also a lot of snow was melting away too.
The landscape is currently beautiful coloured. The leaves have all shades of yellow and red. In the morning there might be some fog, but often the low sun increases the effect.
A trip to the company office in Ra'anana. As usual with buisiness trips there are little daylight pictures with the exception of some taken with the iPhone. The hotel was located at the beach of Herzliya which allowed a very pleasant morning run along the beach.
In August a nice spider visited our garden and a magnificient double rainbow spanned over the town. This year Museumsuferfest in Frankfurt and Laternenfest in Bad Homburg at the last August weekend were rather cool and partly rainy.
This year vacation we had a trip to Croatia. First we spend a week on the MS Otac Nikola cruising through the Croatian Islands around Dubrovnik. The tour started in Cavtat and went to Mljet, Hvar, Korcula, Lopud and Dubrovnik back to Cavtat. The we stayed another week in the hotel Croatia in Cavtat to enjoy further enjoy sun and sea.
In July we two short trips to Hannover and Hamburg. In Hannover there was only time to watch the central train station plaza. In Hamburg there was the possibility to have nearly a day to walk in town.
Palmengarten is one of the two botanical garden in Frankfurt. During the Lichterfest (festival of lights) visitors do a picnic in the Palmengarten build figures out of tea candles. When it becomes dark the tea lights are lighted and show the figures in the night. The festival ends with a firework.

One week the night of the museums another walk through the nightly Frankfurt. In this night all the museums of the town are open late and you can visit them all with one ticket.
This week Frankfurt was illuminate because of the Luminale. Not to much time to go there, but we had 3 hours on Friday to walk through the night.
In the week after easter we went for sightseeing to Cologne http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cologne.
Just before easter we went for a bit of shopping to Frankfurt http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankfurt. The new shopping center "MyZeil" http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/MyZeil is one year old and has an interesting glass roof architecture. In contrast we went for a walk in the park the next day through the Kurpark http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurpark_Bad_Homburg in Bad Homburg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Homburg_vor_der_H%C3%B6he.
We walked together with Bärbel Schäfer & Tim Frühling through the night 8pm to 2am. This "Abenteuer Frankfurt" was one of the organized events by the hr3 radio station. There were 20 locations and 50 acts, so it wasn't possible to view them all. Anyway it was a nice adventure and we had fun. The official pictures can be found on the hr3 website.
After another trip to Milano (sorry no pictures this time) it looked like winter started to say goodbye. After a trip to Lenzburg in Switzerland only small snow piles reminded the snow rich winter. But just a week later we got another 10 cm snow in one night and everything was white again.
The only time I had to do some sightseeing in Milano was during a cold and rainy night. We went to the Castello Sforzesco and walked then the Via Dante to the Piazza del Duomo. The Milan cathedral is really impressive. We then enjoyed the nearby Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
The winter 2010 had a lot of snow for Neu-Anspach.
